The Coronavirus is changing our way of life, therefore it is also changing our way of teaching. This can obviously be confusing and disorientating, but it can also be a good thing.
Right now, every aspect of how we learn and how we teach is being reinvented by the day. Educators the world over are being forced to rethink their approach, their relationships, their technologies, and their methodologies.
Yes, this is a shock. But if we can get through it together, we will emerge stronger. For those who can, now is the time to innovate; to find new ideas, new concepts, and new ways of doing what we do, better.
ViolinSchool has created this microsite for string instrument teachers and schools who are partners and clients of ViolinSchool Teacher Services. But we are also making this free to ALL teachers and learners, or indeed anyone who will find it useful, as a public resource during this pandemic.
We are rapidly bringing together a wide range of best practice from across the world as string teachers and schools respond to the pandemic by recalibrating their teaching.
We are taking an 'open source' approach of transparently sharing best practices between the widest possible number of educators, in order to benefit as many learners as possible.
We have brought together a great team of researchers to help, including leading violinists, teachers, arts practitioners, educators and technologists, who are 'on call' to help respond to the fast-evolving situation around us.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to us via firstname.lastname@example.org and we will do our very best to help. If we don't know the answer to the problem you're facing, we'll do our best to find out!
We will be updating this site DAILY during the pandemic with the very latest information and guidance. Everything new will be updated via the ViolinSchool Blog.
Recent posts that are relevant to Covid-19 and Online Teaching/Learning will be listed here from later this week.
