Anything’s possible at ViolinSchool. ‘Jobs’ is probably a misnomer, because working at ViolinSchool isn’t really a ‘job’, it’s more of a way of life. We’re a highly vocational organisation with a negligible turnover, and we’re only interested in talking to people who are interested in long term collaborations, and who love to learn.
Everyone at ViolinSchool is, in their own way, an artist. We’re deeply creative people, with highly original perspectives. We aim to be a team of superstars; each a wonderful soloist, together an incredible ensemble. We work exceptionally hard, are ever so slightly obsessive, innovate relentlessly, and have a great time doing it. We pay as well as we can afford, but we’re not greedy and charge our students accordingly. ViolinSchool is growing really fast, and there’s a lot to do. We are grouped as a series of small, close-knit teams with an international outlook and a strong sense of culture. If you want responsibility, and to get involved in exciting projects, we’ll challenge and push you and we’ll do so rapidly.
Depending on your role, there are several ways you can work with ViolinSchool; full time, part time, self-employed, remote working – there are many possibilities. Few people work for ViolinSchool for more than a few days a week, and we all work on interesting projects elsewhere. But you need to be mature, fun, smart, creative, passionate about music, and – obviously – have a certain fondness for the violin.
We are structured into three core teams – management, professorial, and advisory. There’s a lot of overlap between all three. Those whose work brings together all three areas are our rock stars. We enjoy hiring violinists for non-professorial as well as professorial roles.
We always like hearing from Violin Professors/Teachers/Tutors, but equally we draw on a variety of expertise in the fields of academic research and leadership, content (audio, video, written word, interactive media), technology (web design and development, wordpress/php), business management, and pretty much anything else you can think of that contributes to becoming the world leader in violin education, and getting forever better at it.
