It’s been a pleasure to work with you all over the past few weeks, and I hope you’ve found it to be a valuable experience.
We’re committed to continually improving the programs that ViolinSchool offers, so if you can spare 2 minutes to share your feedback with me, David and Setareh via the form below, then I’d really appreciate it.
Please be candid about what you liked and what we can improve – I always listen very closely to suggestions from learners, and your feedback is incredibly valuable, so thank you in advance for your comments.
Next Steps for Learning
Now that you’ve made such a great start to your learning, it’s important to have a plan in place, to make sure that your violin practice stays fun and efficient. And, most importantly, moves you closer towards your goals.
To help you develop that momentum as we move into Christmas and the New Year, we’ve put together three options for the next steps of your learning.
Firstly, I’d like to offer you a completely free one to one violin lesson either at our studio in Palace Street in Victoria, or via Skype if that’s easier for you.
The main purpose of this session will be to review your learning and put a practice plan in place so that you know exactly what to focus on in your practice sessions.
If you’d like to take up the free lesson, then have a look at the schedule on our London website — I’m teaching on Mondays and Wednesday through until Christmas.
If you can’t find a convenient time, just let us know. I should be able to add some extra Saturday times nearer Christmas, and Skype lessons are also possible at any time.
Level 2 Course
The next option is to register for Level 2 of The Violin Course. This will take a similar format to what we’ve already done, but with a bigger focus on playing pieces and building repertoire.
Level 2 will start in mid January and run weekly for about 10 weeks, as a 90 minute class.
Depending on demand, I’ll be running the Level 2 course on either Thursday evenings from 8 to 9.30pm, or on Saturday mornings from 11.30 to 1pm.
Pricing will be very similar to Level 1, and we can hold a place open for you with a small deposit. Booking will open next week.
If you’re interested in joining the next level, please let us know using the form below – and be sure to tell us whether a weekday or weekend session is best for you.
Finally, over the next couple of weekends, we’ll be running an extension to the current course, in the form of two BEGINNER ENSEMBLE sessions – just like we did last week.
In these classes, we’ll be working through the music we learnt during the course, until it’s ready to perform. You’ll also have the option to play these pieces in the concert on the 9th of December if you wish.
The sessions run in Pimlico from 10.30am to 12.30pm *THIS* Saturday – that’s the 18th of November – *and* on Saturday the 2nd of December.
Then, the concert is at 2pm on Saturday the 9th of December at The Warehouse in Waterloo, with a morning rehearsal.
The cost for this extension to the course is £75. This includes both the Saturday morning sessions AND optional orchestra and concert participation too.
This course extension is going to be a great opportunity for us to consolidate everything we’ve already learnt, and give you the experience and confidence you need to play in front of other people. So why not give it a go!
You can use the form below to let us know which sessions you’d like to join. Select the ones you want, and Setareh will be in touch to confirm your place.
Or, if you’ve already flown away to sunnier places, then Happy Christmas from me and all of us here at ViolinSchool!
And finally, may I offer again my congratulations on everything that you’ve achieved over the last few weeks.
I hope this is just the start of a long and enjoyable relationship with this wonderful instrument!
Take care and see you soon! Bye for now :)[/vc_toggle][vc_column_text]
